Requesting and Borrowing Items

RM lets you manage the physical movement of items from their storage locations to one or more users and back again. When you make a request, RM shows any conflicting requests for the same items. You can either adjust your request to avoid the conflict or enter the request as is. A records administrator will use the RM Administration Tool to view all requests, resolve conflicts, and deliver the requested items to you.

The profile of the borrowed item is updated to show who currently has it, and when it's due to be returned. Other users attempting to request or borrow the item will be informed that it is currently on loan. Inquiring about an item will also show its loan status.
